Telstra's $0 ads 'misled, deceived'

Promotions for popular "zero dollar" mobile phone contracts will be a thing of the past after a Federal Court ruling that Telstra's advertisements breached trade practices laws.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission yesterday won an action it brought against Telstra, describing the telco's "$0*" ads as misleading and deceptive conduct under section 52 of the Trade Practices Act.
