Costello ramps up competition fines

The Federal Government has increased the fines for businesses found guilty of anti-competitive behaviour but is still mulling over whether to impose jail terms.

More than a year after the Dawson review of the Trade Practices Act was completed, the Government yesterday finally unveiled changes to the law.
