Tough governance talked down

The Howard Government has signalled a softer stance against errant companies.

There was no need for an army of bureaucrats to implement unnecessary, hard-line laws, Ross Cameron, the newly appointed parliamentary secretary to the Treasurer, Peter Costello, said yesterday.
